What Easter Is

What Easter Is

What is Easter to each believer

But his passion toward the Lord?

What are lilies to a lady?

Like Christ, they are adored

What is the cross to those of Christ?

It is the power of God

What are the nails once so driven

That drained blood to the sod?

What is the tomb?  What does it echo?

Of course, “The Christ is risen!”

What are those holes in hands and feet?

The proofs of His decision

Who does not know of His ascension”

The price He paid  --  the cost?

Will we believe afresh, anew

And lead to Him the lost?

       Let us live as resurrected

       From the spiritually dead

       Sharing with each passer-by

       The words our Saviour said
